We’re proud as a peacock! GettingonTravel garnered twelve 2017 NATJA awards, both for the publication and for its contributing writers, in the organization’s annual Travel Media Awards Competition!
Now in its 26th year, the awards competition recognizes the “best of the best” in travel media. Not even having reached our first anniversary, we have some very exciting news to share:
GettingOnTravel was named a Finalist in the category of the Best Online Travel Magazine!
In addition, one of our contributors, Michele Peterson, was recognized for one of her engaging stories published on GOT: “Visiting Niagara Falls with Grandchildren: A Boomer’s Guide.” Michele’s work was also a Finalist in the Culinary Travel category.
Co-publisher, Janice Mucalov, was cited for her story in North Shore News, “Adventure Cruise Dives into Natural World.”
But we have more reasons to brag! Our publication and contributors garnered a total of 12 awards in total!
- An article by Alison Abbott was a Finalist in the Culinary Travel category.
- Articles by Debbra Dunning Brouillette were named Finalists in two categories (Luxury and Resort Travel, and Destination Travel Magazine). Debbra also won a Silver award in the Cruise Print category.
- Melinda Crow garnered multiple awards: Gold in the Travel Tips and Advice category and Bronze in the same category and in International and Family Travel. She also was a Finalist in the Sports, Recreation and Adventure category.
Congratulations to all the 2017 NATJA awards winners – but especially to all the GOT contributing writers who make GettingOnTravel such a success!
We look forward to publishing more informative and inspiring travel articles for luxury travelers over-50, written by some of the best travel writers and bloggers in North America (and beyond).
